Collaborative Learning Design

The purpose of school is to create
an appreciation of education as a lifelong process. Towards this end,
learning should move seamlessly between the classroom and the world
beyond. To blur the boundaries requires a shift in physical environment,
pedagogy, and a blending of content to emulate life. This requires
moving from teacher centered classrooms to student-centered classrooms,
creating authentic intellectual work that engages
children in real-world problems focused on issues that touch our shared
humanity, and the use of technology as a tool to
lift teaching and learning in the moment, connecting students with the
world.
